Owning My Own Truth (OMOT) was established in September 2015 by Co-Founders, Tina and Jeania Robinson, to meet the multiple needs of our community members who are battling the affects of current and/or former physical, mental, and/or emotional abuse.
We provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment to identify the characteristics that have developed due to trauma while working on ways to free our clients from the strongholds created in the process.
OMOT also collaborates with other community and government organizations to provide resources to our clients who are also in need of shelter, food, medical care.
Pop up self care stations providing hygiene kits (now including masks during COVID19 pandemic)
Grocery delivery and transportation to and from medical appointments for seniors
Weekly community meetings with mental health and substance abuse professionals*
*Due to COVID19, our community meetings are currently held on Zoom until further notice
Receive in-take calls for clients in need of assistance due to domestic violence and/or substance abuse
Referrals for services and assistance to those struggling with substance abuse or are victims of domestic violence
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Dr. Keith Williams, Senior Pastor
New Beginnings Community COGIC
As the Senior Pastor of the New Beginnings Community Church of God in Christ in the city of Oakland, California, I support Ms. Tina Robinson and Owning My Own Truth. The OMOT team is helping many people throughout the Bay Area deal with multiple forms of abuse. I have seen and heard countless testimonies of those that have benefited from the seminars and weekly sessions of OMOT.
DB Bedford, CEO
When you have the ability to stand in your own truth you are ultimately standing in your true power.
Tina does a masterful job bridging the gap between where you are now and where you desire to be.
Misti Harrelson, Survivor
I am a survivor of 10 years of horrific abuse and unnecessary and evil cruelties.
